A variety of different projects have delivered positive outcomes for clients.
Office of the Deputy Prime Minister
The Brief
Support a nationwide competition delivered through a partnership between Groundwork and the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister. The objective was to identify and celebrate projects that helped make local communities cleaner, safer and greener, evidenced by photographs and written submissions.
The Outcome
The project ran via regional heats in Autumn 2004 and on to a national final - the results being announced at the International Sustainability Conference, held in Manchester in January 2005 - with coverage by press and broadcast media.
Ground Force TV Special
The Brief
Support the delivery of a ‘Groundwork meets Ground Force' one-hour TV special. featuring the transformation of a derelict site on Merseyside.
The Outcome
An input that took in finalising site approvals and project details through to building the partner relationships necessary to make the project happen.
With the initial preparation completed, activities varied from a week of physical work on site with Charlie and Tommy to arranging surprise guests and media interviews.
Groundwork in Action
The Brief
To help develop and deliver a series of ‘showcase’ visits that enables current or potential partners & supporters to see projects that are being delivered at a local level.
The Outcome
An ongoing programme of tours that have enabled participants to meet partners, delivery staff and members of the local communities where work takes place. They have proved to be a unique means of generating additional understanding and support by demonstrating activities in a more personal and powerful way than conventional literature, exhibitions or presentations.
